Job Description
The Splunk Engineer will design, implement, and maintain full-stack observability using Splunk APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, and RUM. The role focuses on telemetry onboarding, dashboarding, alerting, automation, and performance troubleshooting to enhance system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage end-to-end observability solutions using Splunk APM, Infra, and RUM.
Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and visualizations for proactive monitoring.
Onboard applications and infrastructure to generate metrics, logs, and traces.
Troubleshoot complex performance issues through trace, metric, and log correlation.
Automate configuration and deployment of the Splunk Observability Suite.
Work with development and SRE teams to improve system performance and reliability.
Create and optimize O11yQL queries for advanced analytics.
Fine-tune alert thresholds to reduce noise and improve detection times.
Requirements
Experience with Splunk APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, RUM, and observability ecosystems.
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues across distributed systems.
Collaboration experience with Dev, SRE, or platform teams.
Skills
Strong skills in dashboard creation, alerting, telemetry instrumentation, and log/trace analysis.
Knowledge of O11yQL and automation tools for deployment/configuration.
