Job Description
The AS400 Technical Business Analyst will support the migration from AS400 to a COTS platform by analysing the existing AS400 systems and producing detailed documentation. This role focuses on reverse engineering, system understanding, and mapping.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse the current AS400 application and document system behaviour, file structures, and data mappings.
Perform reverse engineering of existing AS400 components to support migration activities.
Work with technical teams to clarify system logic and dependencies.
Prepare functional and technical documentation for use by development and migration teams.
Support impact analysis and assist in knowledge transition from legacy to target systems.
Requirements
8+ years of experience working with AS400 technologies.
Strong understanding of AS400 applications, file structures, and system workflows.
Ability to collaborate with technical and business teams to extract system knowledge.
Skills
Experience in reverse engineering and documentation (e.g., file mapping, logic flows).
Good to have: Knowledge of SICS (Silverlake Integrated Card System).
